In their rebuttals, both Zimbra and Microsoft have tried to cash in on the traditional fear of "hosted" solutions amongst enterprises. But this approach wont be successful for long, with enterprise attitudes shifting in favor of the hosted, SaaS approach. No wonder Microsoft launched Microsoft BPOS and the soon to come Office Web Apps. We recently did a comparison between Google Apps and Microsoft BPOS if anyone may be interested.

Good observation. I agree with the fear not lasting long.
Also with announcements like Amazon's VPS these fears will slowly wane away.
